We have extensive litigation experience in both civil and criminal matters.
We have experience prosecuting and defending civil actions including construction cases, personal injury, products liability, wrongful death, insurance bad faith, worker’s compensation, employment cases and patent infringement prosecution. We have experience preparing litigation plans and budgets and work closely with clients seeking to reduce their litigation exposure. We represent clients that hire their own counsel, or that self-direct their defense in coordination with their insurers.
We dedicate part of our practice to plaintiff’s litigation. We have successfully prosecuted claims in matters concerning personal injury, negligence, medical malpractice, products liability, insurance bad faith, products liability, and lender liability. We undertake and prosecute complex cases. On behalf of a corporate client we developed and prosecuted a successful claim against multiple defendants arising out of the collapse of a large steel blend silo. The matter concluded with one of the longest trials held in Albany County, and resulted in a $6.49 million verdict, which was appealed to, and affirmed by, the Wyoming Supreme Court. In our most recent cases we have prosecuted to successful settlements a medical malpractice case against Wyoming Medical Center, a gas explosion/wrongful death case against Western Gas Resources and Diamond Surface, Inc., and a personal injury case against JC Penney.
We also provide the highest quality of representation in criminal matters. Our firm member has been defense co-counsel on the last two high profile murder cases in Albany County, Wyoming, including the nationally publicized Matthew Shepard murder. Jason Tangeman is an active NACDL member and is referred criminal matters by counsel nationwide.
